"Otrada values initiative people who wish to contribute to the piggy bank of company success."
I graduated from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics with a degree in Management 3 years ago. But could I imagine that I would be a manager of a pig farm? – Sure, I couldn’t!

I entered the company as an office-manager and already in 6 month thanks to our management team started to work as a farm manager assistant. I was provided with a comprehensive support,  that made my transfer and adaptation so simple and fascinating. Having made great efforts and gained the experience, I was given a chance to lead the farm. Now I am a farm manager of one of our production sites with the full responsibility for its' performance focusing on efficiency, competitiveness, high standard results and comfortable conditions for animal welfare.

This year I also graduated from Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation with a degree in Corporate Finance. It would seem, nothing about pigs again... But this education helps me a lot to have a global picture on my work. Pig management is learned by 'doing' as we all are lucky to be surrounded by highly qualified team.

Otrada values initiative people who are open for changes and wish to contribute to the piggy bank of company success.

Farm Manager

“My responsibility is to manage an integrated commercial farm producing 30,000 pigs per annum.”
From the very beginning, I was very much interested to work in a company that follows European standards and has an international management team. So I was really glad to be hired as an HR manager, the profession I was trained for and had experience in.

While at work, I learned much from my colleagues and regular visits to production facilities during the site tours and stocktaking activities any employee could take part in. Eventually, I took a real liking to the work with pigs as I am very keen on animals. On the other hand, you need to be skilled and experienced in veterinary, feed, finance and many other fields to manage a pig production site. Although I did not have specific knowledge and experience in pig management, I was determined to work in this area.

This might leave non-insiders wondering, but the management supported me and gave me a try, having appointed me first as an assistant to an experienced manager of a breeding farm. Just 7 months after this move, I was appointed as a Farm Manager. Now my responsibility is to manage an integrated commercial farm producing 30,000 pigs per annum.

If you have a strong desire, you need to go for something you really want to do, no matter what training or experience you have. Most important is that Otrada is a company that can make your dream come true. Of course, this won't happen without efforts on your part.

“The company has always had a clear strategic view and it is very motivating to see how we all move to achieve our goals.”
It is the only company that was able to provide me with challenging and interesting tasks every time I came to the conclusion that there was nothing more for me to achieve and that I should move on. Every 2-3 years I changed the entire scope of my responsibilities, thus developing professionally and creating a totally new social network of great people around me. And great individuals make a perfect team.

What is intriguing about the company regardless of its size is that we have always been in touch with the latest technology that can hardly be found anywhere in Russia.

The company has always had a clear strategic view and it is very motivating to see how we all move to achieve our goals – gradually but consistently.

Chief Accounting Officer

“I was always supported by our team of professional, helpful and interesting people.”
In 2008, I graduated from the Lipetsk State Technical University with a degree in Accounting, Analysis and Audit. Almost right after graduation, I was hired as an assistant to the financial director of the Company. I was attracted by growth opportunities in a professional European-managed team. Thanks to its development strategy and corporate values, the Company has always offered career development opportunities to those who really want to grow and strive to do their utmost for this purpose.

I was an intermediary between the IFRS and Russian accounting offices at that time, and was very much proud of it. My functions and responsibilities changed and expanded, making me move ahead, acquire solid experience, become a genuine professional, and develop management skills.
At any point of time, I was always supported by our team of professional, helpful and interesting people.

After that, I was a senior accountant, a financial specialist and a financial manager to finally become Chief Accounting Officer of the group of companies. It is an extremely valuable experience to walk the whole way from the start, be promoted and keep growing and developing with the Company. There is no limit to professional development, and our company proves it beyond doubt.

I was hired in September 2012 as an animal care operator. My duties were animal treatment and vaccination, cleaning of stalls, whitewashing, and sorting of purebred animals.

I was promoted to a senior animal care operator already in 2013. My responsibilities in the new position were to select pigs for breeding, enter data into the farm management software, check swine health, and keep sales and mortality records.

In late 2013, I was appointed as a Finishing Site Manager. My job duties were to supervise a team of finishing site employees.
Now I am a Farm Manager.

Slaughterhouses Operation Manager

"Career development’ has drawn my attention in Otrada. And I got a chance to move ahead in my career one year after joining.”
When I was browsing job ads on the Internet, my attention was drawn to the office manager position in Otrada. The job description appealed to me even more than the position itself, especially the last part saying about ‘options of career development’.

I got a chance to move ahead in my career one year after joining. Now I work as an operation manager of slaughterhouses. I would not say that I have ever dreamed of such a job. Neither would you think of a girl that has dreamed of a job at the slaughterhouse. In fact, this is a very interesting industry. Most of my colleagues share the same opinion.

The management gives opportunities to everyone who is keen on learning, developing and exploring new areas. This makes you want to do your utmost to meet their expectations.
