Otrada produces 140,000 hogs per annum. They are all slaughtered in house at the state-of-the-industry facilities located right at the fattening sites. This reduces animal stress (no transport) and enhances biosecurity of our farms (no livestock trucks coming close).
Otrada’s operations comply with the most stringent animal welfare regulations applicable in the EU (place per animal, loose housing of sows, etc.). Growth enhancers, hormones and systemic antibiotics are totally excluded from our operating processes.
