slaughtering

The slaughtering process at Otrada is totally new for the Russian pig breeding industry. The modular slaughterhouse is built to fit a specific pig farm capacity and occupies a minimal area.

Otrada's slaughterhouses are located right on the farm sites and linked with the fattening facilities to minimize the spread of ASF and other diseases by eliminating the need of animal transportation. If even a single contamination occurs, the slaughterhouse closes while other facilities remain operational.


The slaughterhouse capacity is 120 animals per shift. Advanced technologies and easy-to-use equipment minimize the number of employees and improve quality of meat products.
