Although being very cosmopolite, the Company is operating only in Russia and selling in some other CIS countries. As our intention is to build a strong long-term position in the Russian swine market, we put respect of commitments and honesty towards our clients, administration bodies, banks and business partners in general on the top of the pyramid of our values.  

Additionally, the genes we produce and sell correspond to animals fitting to the specific requirements of the Russian market, not to that of any foreign market.

Animal welfare and food safety
Taking good care of animals is not detrimental to maximizing RoCE. It actually contributes to it as experience shows that well treated and happy animals perform significantly better than those kept in bad conditions do.

Within Otrada, usage of medicaments in general - and antibiotics in particular - is restricted to curing a specific health problem, when it occurs and under the strict control of a veterinarian. This enables the Company to supply the best quality product to its meat clients from a food safety point of view, as well as the strongest animals for breeding purposes. The latter being supported by the implementation of drastic selection criteria based on animal body shape.

The Company’s global environment encompasses – on the top of its clients and shareholders – employees, banks, administrative bodies, suppliers, as well as the Nature and the communities it evolves in. Respect is the mandatory basement on which Otrada is building its relationship with its global environment to ensure its ability to conduct an efficient business in the long run, and to act with the respect of the interest of all our business partners.
